Sport training is best done over time and should always be enjoyable. Variety and fun help maintain longterm interest. I have created many training sets. Music and count patterns in: aerobics, isometrics, dance and Martial enhance rythym and fluidity, co-ordination and confidence. Entering and exiting a kwoon is done with a bow to General Kwan and a single salute to all in the room. Individual salutation is made to the most senior family member on the floor. Students are expected to stretch and warm up on arrival. Comfortable clothing and proper shoes are required. I have found that "indoor soccer shoes" are very good for the torque that is one of the primary goals of training. The ability to flow over the ground and have your feet adapt to any situation they encounter automatically. That is the Dream! - Ving Tsun is a soft Kung-fu with redirection. Train Hard at your own speed. You are the One to define hard for yourself! Pupils should consume water or sport drinks during class. Proper hydration and breathing are key to getting what you want out of your training. |
